Dynamic stability analysis of composite skew plates subjected to periodic in-plane load

چکیده
Here, the dynamic stability characteristics of simply supported laminated composite skew plates subjected to a periodic in-plane load are investigated using the finite element approach. The formulation includes the effects of transverse shear deformation, in-plane and rotary inertia. The boundaries of the instability regions are obtained using the Bolotin’s method and are represented in the nondimensional load amplitude-excitation frequency plane. The principal and second instability regions are identified for different parameters such as skew angle, thickness-to-span ratio, fiber orientation and static in-plane load. r 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Dynamic Stability of Moderately Thick Composite Laminated Skew Plates using Finite Strip Method
The dynamic instability regions of composite laminated skew flat plates subjected to uniform in-plane axial end-loading are investigated. The in-plane loading is assumed as a combination of a time-invariant component and a harmonic time-varying component uniformly distributed along two opposite panel ends’ width. In case of some loading frequency-amplitude pair-conditions, the model is subjecte...

The dynamic stability of a composite plate with external electrorheological (ER) damper subjected to an axial periodic load is investigated. Electrorheological fluids are a class of smart materials, which exhibit reversible changes in mechanical properties when subjected to an electric field. As a result, the dynamic behavior of the structure is changed. The ER damper is used for suppressing th...

In this paper, buckling behavior of moderately thick functionally graded rectangular plates resting on elastic foundation subjected to linearly varying in-plane loading is investigated. The neutral surface position for a functionally graded plate which its material properties vary in the thickness direction is determined. In this paper, static indentation and low velocity impact responses of a fully backed composite sandwich plate subjected to a rigid flat-ended cylindrical indenter/impactor are analytically investigated. The analysis is nonlinear due to nonlinear strain-displacement relation. In contrast to the existed analytical models for the indentation of composite sandwich plates, the stacking sequence of ...

A new systematic iterative analytical procedure is presented to predict the dynamic response of composite sandwich plates subjected to low-velocity impact phenomenon with/without initial in-plane forces. In this method, the interaction between indenter and sandwich panel is modeled with considering the exponential equation similar to the Hertzian contact law and using the principle of minimum p...
